They have mapped out a path that is an example for all businesses, making the hospitality for the amount of their commitment in the world of tourism”: the said Roberto Vitali, founder and ceo of the Village for all (V4A ® ), the famous network of hospitality, on the occasion of the delivery date for the 2021 of V4A Awards, which took place, as we reported last week, within the Hospitality Day of Rimini.
After delivery, therefore, of the various certificates to the TOP sites in the Network V4A for the fields of Family, Food Allergy, Mobility, Perception and Senior V4Awars Inclusion, awarded in collaboration with Allergy Free, went to the Residence Trieste Riva del Garda (Trento), “to have been able to develop a project of hospitality that meets the needs of the character of sensory, mobility wheelchair, or low height, ensuring that all design, quality and accessibility transparent”.
To win instead of the V4A Awards Innovation for All (prize awarded in collaboration with eMoby) was the Ermitage Medical Hotel Abano Terme (Padova), “to have made available to their guests, a service of sharing, mobility scooter, designed to facilitate the freedom of movement and the accessible tourism in collaboration with the partners of the Village for all eMoby, an electric scooter always available and payable to the consumption for short periods”.
And still, the V4A Awards Destination For All (in collaboration with Aspasso Bike was won by the city of Bibione (Venice), for the project Destination4All, “initiative, now in its fourth year of operations, which is the constant witness of a destination that can offer a tourism industry competent and prepared, from accommodation, to commerce, to dining, to activities, sport and leisure”.
Subsequently, the V4A Awards Experiences for All (in collaboration with Legnolandia) was presented to Delta2000 Gruppo di Animazione Locale del Delta del Po, “for having realized an innovative project that connects information, aids and skills, offering inclusive tourist experiences to families with people with sensory, cognitive-relational and motor disabilities”.
And finally, the V4A Awards Web Accessibility (in collaboration with Siteimprove), who went to Hotel Pitti Palace al Ponte Vecchio, Florence, “to have made an internet site that comes from the times of the obligation, in 2025, by transforming the accessibility of it in a competitive advantage positioning on Google and other search engines. But first of all responding to a market demand that comes from blind and/or visually impaired people”.
Vincenzo Falabella, national president of the FISH (Italian Federation for the overcoming of the Handicap) and Massimo Garbaldi, FederTerme councilor, were also present as guests at the ceremony.
“Our Federation is to the next Village for all – said Falabella – to raise the awareness of the Italian policy to invest more in tourism and in particular in the hospitality accessible, to ensure that the public consider finally the disable, not as a disease but the interaction with the external environment. It is also essential to raise awareness among tourism operators so that they can build accessible routes and offer accessible hospitality to all citizens with disabilities, who are tourists like every other citizen.
